The meeting between Nova and members of the management team of the Peace Building Academy in Lebanon has been held at the Institu Europeu de la Mediterrània in Barcelona. This meeting has not only resulted in the agreement of the basic guidelines for the proper functioning of the Academy, but has also created linkages and synergies among the participants

The resulting product of this meeting was to obtain the three basic strategic lines of the institution: peace and conflict research, training of builders of peace and conflict mediation in the region.

The project "Peacebuilding Academy in Lebanon” is an intervention designed from civil society organizations such as Lebanese Permanent Peace Movement (PPM) and the Nonviolence Network in the Arab Countries (NNAC) in cooperation with international organizations such as Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) and NOVA, with the aim of creating an infrastructure for training and research in the field of conflict prevention and resolution and post-conflict rehabilitation for professionals working in the construction of peace, and above all Lebanese community leaders and Palestinian refugees to define effective programs for nonviolent conflict transformation.
