1. Providing specialized training to civilian personnel to participate in nonviolent intervention in areas of violent conflict intended to protect civilians and improve human security.

2. Helping avoid, reduce or end violence and strength the establishment of a just and lasting peace for all parties.

3. Protecting the people of the country who want to apply the change to a peaceful society, when it is too dangerous for them to carry out their own activities for peace.

4. Cooperating and providing support and training to local organizations working for peace, and trying to manage their own conflict situation to ensure that the peace process is sustainable and continues to develop.

5. Facilitating the communication when the dialogue and direct negotiations between local parties is impossible.

6. Attacking the basic causes that originated the conflict, reinforcing the imbalance of political, socio-economic or cultural opportunities, and guiding the peaceful conciliation of interests.

7. Promoting relations, understanding and reconciliation, bringing the warring parties, and strengthen the existing proposals for peaceful settlement and peacekeeping.

8. Encouraging restoration of strong, organized and democratic civil society, with the offer of material, technical and moral support to help the actors’ training on process management.
